More about the artist
"Photography - capturing and portraying a moment has been my passion almost since childhood. I have always been passionate about capturing images, moments and transferring them onto the surface of paper. Composition, form and, at the same time, conveying emotions, snippets of life and framing them have always fascinated me. The thought of painting and changing the form to convey my own feelings has lived with me for many years."
Free interpretation
Michal paints abstract paintings, giving the viewer the opportunity for free interpretation. He allows the viewer to activate his imagination and adapt the image he is looking at to his own experiences and desires.
Therefore, the artist's paintings do not have specific titles, but are only a certain hint, sometimes a word or see along with a code. This opens the possibility of one's own interpretation, without assigning a particular vision to the viewer in advance.
Lots of Layers
There are many layers in his works that create new levels, colors and relationships between them. As in life, nothing is flat and one-dimensional.
Thus, the artist tries to show that everyone can see their life in it. Sometimes complex, changing, from one color to another. Sometimes fluid, without clear boundaries and sometimes sharp and decided, with strong contrasts.
Visible boundaries
Clear boundaries in my paintings - moments of transition to another character, order, are nothing but the image of life. Sometimes very complicated, which at some point drastically changes and transitions into a new reality.
"For me, painting is about capturing a moment, breaking down reality into small elements. It's like photographing thoughts. Sometimes I stop in the middle of creation, because then it turns out that what emerges in that moment is exactly what I wanted to show. Or it is already what should not be changed."
