About the artist

Jarosław Rymarz was born in 1979 in Kraśnik, Poland. Artist, working with oil and acrylic paint since 2003. Musician, co-founder of the alternative band "Edward With Gun," in which he was active until 2015. He first showed his painting in 2013 at an exhibition at the CKiP (Center for Culture and Promotion) in his hometown of Kraśnik. He participates in many individual and group exhibitions as well as national and international open-air exhibitions. In 2014, the artist collaborated with the band Dollz who used his paintings in the production of a music video for the song: Does anyone know? He currently lives and works in Kraśnik while simultaneously working on his new music project Infligo Mass, released in December 2019.

“My art evokes emotions I wanna share with you”

"In my work I distort space and matter, with color, light or form. It is my search for sensitivity, looking at the world with a fully conscious, part of myself."

Painting is an inner dialogue between the artist and the material. A record of the past, an expression of emotions experienced under the influence of the outside world. It is a kind of diary, a history of experienced events, rendered on canvas, mainly in abstraction. It is an unconscious contact with the viewer.

In the creative process, the artist empties his mind and works on the canvas in an automatic way. He observes how color, form and light strive for mutual harmony, how they permeate or fight each other, striving for dominance in the image. They create a dialogue with emotions experienced in the present tense. The painting is inspired by life, people, experienced events and emotions. All of these vibrate and affect each of us.
