Cyprian Nocon was born on 1991 in Poland. He studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Katowice (2011 - 2017). In 2016, he completed an artist-in-residence at Belgium's Glo-Art Centre. He is the author of several solo exhibitions in Lyon, Maastricht and Warsaw, among others. He has participated in art fairs in China and Britain. He paints several cycles including Celebration of Polyphony, Before the Premiere, Masks. His paintings are in collections in many countries.

The Artist is known for his large, seductive and thought-provoking works. He explores themes of identity, culture and society. He navigates enigmatically and boldly between abstraction and realism, constantly changing the relationship between the two. His works are characterized by powerful and vibrant colors, whose composition is always well thought out, expressive brushstrokes and a unique layering technique.

In his artwork we see a constant return to themes such as music or theater. This is a passion that stems from his early childhood. For Cyprian has been involved in theater from an early age. Thanks to his mother, who worked in the theater at the time, he had unlimited opportunities to spend his free time there. In his own words, the theater made a big impression on him. A big, beautiful space where there was always something to do. And he had the opportunity to discover and observe the theater from behind the scenes, empty, without an audience. These experiences had a huge influence on Cyprian's work. They gave him much basis and inspiration for his later - as it turned out later - interesting and beautiful artistic path. The theme of theater appears very often in the artist's works. It is represented in various forms and colors. But it is always empty. In 2016, he defended his thesis with the same title "Before the Premiere.
